I'm Roman.
I was born in Russia in 1988, moved to Israel in 1996, and served in the IDF. I met the woman I call Dana here in 2013, married her in 2017, and we moved to the States in 2019. We're getting divorced now. None of that is a secret, and none of it is something I'm ashamed of.
I'm an entrepreneur, I build things for a living. That's about all I'll say about the work. This place is personal, and I'd rather keep the two apart.
Here's the honest part. I never knew if I wanted to be a dad. If I'm being straight with you, I don't even like kids very much. But I had a feeling, a strong one, that I would love my own. I was right. I am completely, hopelessly in love with them. They're awesome, amazing, life-altering, and they are the force that gives me the energy to keep fighting the good fight. I'm happy every single minute I have them.
That's why this exists. When my marriage ended, I went looking for something for dads like me, and found nothing. So I built it. Custody & Coffee is honest field notes from a guy in the middle of it. No bashing, no advice from a mountain, just the truth from inside it, one dad to another.
Pour a coffee. Stay a while.
